scene 2
Aiden had gotten worried when two hours turned into three and three into four. He had to deal with a very worried Jeremiah the whole time too and when he announced he was going over to Ryland and Jude's to see if Julian ended up there, the boy insisted on coming along as well.
"Look," he said, glancing at Jeremiah as they pulled into the driveway of Ryland's house. "You need to stick by my side and let me talk. I know they care for Julian a lot so if he isn't here, they will help us find him."
He got out of the car and came around to open Jeremiah's door. "Now, I will wait on the lawn here and I need you to go up and knock on the door."
He wasn't allowed on their porch, just like Ryland and Jude weren't allowed on Victor's without an invitation.

"Julian went out for a run just after sundown," Aiden replied, his hands shoved deep into his pockets to keep from fidgeting. "He didn't come back...I wondered if he was here, and if not...I need help looking for him."
He took a few steps closer to the porch but didn't climb the steps. He knew better.
"Ryland," he said, looking past Jeremiah and Jude. "Help me." He looked right at his brother, hoping that the expression on his face would show how serious it was.
The younger Volaire just looked at his brother for a moment and then glanced at Jude. "What should we do?" He asked quietly. "I care about that kid, you know..."
He glanced at Jeremiah instead of looking at Aiden. "Don't worry, okay? We'll find him for you." For Jeremiah. Not for Aiden.

Aiden just stood there waiting on the lawn. For the first time he really realized what it felt like to be Ryland, to be banned from setting foot on your own family's property. He kind of started to protest when Jeremiah headed into the house to grab the blankets but he forced himself to remain calm.
Ryland followed Jude up the stairs and pulled on some warm clothes before coming back down to address his brother. He went down the steps and approached Aiden. "Look," he said. "I'm doing this for those boys. Not for you."
"Fine," Aiden replied, shrugging his shoulders. "Whatever you say, Ryland."

After Jeremiah stormed off and Jude went after him, Ryland shoved Aiden roughly. "You TOLD him? You told him about this fucking bullshit? Can't you keep your dumb mouth shut, Aiden? There's shit you shouldn't involve kids in."
Kind of shocked at that, Aiden shoved Ryland back harder and he had to fight against baring his fangs toward his brother. "What do you know, huh? He fucking asked me what happened because he could tell there was shit between us. I wasn't going to lie to him." Then he took off, easily catching up to Jeremiah and Jude, leaving Ryland behind to pick up the blankets.

"You carry the clothes," Ryland said to Aiden, finally catching up. "I'm shifting too." He wasn't going to be the only one in human form just hanging around with his brother. No way.
"I don't want to carry all this shit around..." Aiden began, turning to face Ryland again.
"SHUT UP AND DEAL WITH IT IF YOU WANT HIM BACK," Ryland snapped, throwing the blankets at Aiden before pulling his own jacket off.

Ryland took a step toward Jude, growling in response before he even realized what he was doing. He'd never really put Jude in his place before even though he was the more dominant one in the relationship but he really didn't even have time to think about it before his own shift started. He'd gotten a little more used to the pain over time but he still had to take a moment to collect himself once he was finally in wolf form. Waiting to make sure that Aiden picked up his clothes, he took off after Jude and Jeremiah.
Aiden growled a loud, "Fuck you," at Ryland but grabbed the clothes and followed quickly behind them. He wasn't able to walk on air like Victor did but he was still very fast, nonetheless and it was easy for him to keep up with the running wolves.
